Black Fly 3 / 6 / 12 Hour – Trail Race

The Black Fly Trail Race is a timed event in which participants attempt to complete the greatest number of loops of a challenging race course within a prescribed time limit – 3, 6 and 12 Hours!
Black Fly follows some insane running and mountain bike trails located on the ski hills at Camp Fortune in Old Chelsea, Québec. Beautiful views of the Gatineau Hills and loads of prizes, entertainment, and cheering volunteers and spectators are certain to keep runners motivated throughout the race! The 3 and 6 Hour races will follow a short but demanding course, while the 12 Hour races will follow and equally demanding but longer course. Both courses loop through the same main Checkpoint (at the start/finish area), where water and snacks will be available. There will also be a designated area at the CP where participants will be permitted to store gear, food, and anything else that they wish to access during the race. Run the entire time if you are able, or stop every few laps for some food and a well-deserved break – it’s all about challenging yourself and having fun! The race ends when the prescribed time limit has expired. Any runner who has crossed the start/finish line prior to the time expiring will be allowed to complete a final lap and add it to their total. The runner(s) with the most laps completed for each race (and therefore greatest distance covered) will be declared the winner(s) of that event. Runners completing the same number of laps will be ranked according to the order in which they finished their final lap.

Le Black Fly Trail Race est une course ultra-trail chronométrée dans laquelle les participants(es) tentent de faire le plus grand nombre de boucles sur un parcours stimulant dans les délais prescrits – 3, 6, 12 heures!
Black Fly suit des pistes de course et de vélo de montagne incroyables situées sur les pistes de ski du Camp Fortune dans le Vieux-Chelsea, Québec. Une vue magnifique des Collines de la Gatineau, de la nourriture incroyable aux stations d’aide, des bénévoles enthousiastes et des spectateurs ne manqueront pas de motiver les coureurs tout au long de la course! Les courses de 3 et 6 heures suivront un parcours court mais exigeant, tandis que le course de 12 heures suivront et un parcours tout aussi exigeant mais plus long. Les deux parcours passent par le même point de contrôle principal (dans la zone de départ / arrivée) où de l’eau et des collations seront disponibles. Il y aura également une zone désignée au CP où les participants seront autorisés à garder du matériel, de la nourriture et toute autre chose à laquelle ils souhaitent avoir accès pendant la course. Courez sans arrêt ou arrêtez-vous à chaque tour pour prendre un repas et faire une pause bien méritée – tout est une question de défi personnel tout en ayant du plaisir ! La course se termine lorsque le délai prescrit de votre course est écoulé. Tout coureur ayant franchi la ligne de départ / arrivée avant la fin de leur limite de temps sera autorisé à effectuer un dernier tour et à l’ajouter au total. Le coureur ayant réalisé le plus de tours pour chaque course (et donc la plus grande distance parcourue) sera déclaré vainqueur de cette épreuve. Les coureurs effectuant le même nombre de tours seront classés en fonction de l’ordre dans lequel ils ont terminé leur dernier tour.
